Finance Manager/Controller - Hybrid working
Marks Sattin is delighted to be working exclusively with this hugely successful family business that is currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager/Financial Controller to join their small finance team, as they prepare for a change of ownership in 2029.
This role is available due to the current postholder relocating and will be No 2 to the Finance Director who has been brought in to modernise the business and further establish and streamline existing processes to maximise the value of the business.
You will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounts production, including end-to-end management accounts, commentary, and business partnering with Sales/Operations. Along with this, you will help to oversee a small transactional finance team and a PQ Management Accountant. Furthermore, you will play a huge part in helping the FD to transform the culture of the business, introduce analysis and commercial reporting, and ensure Finance sits at the heart of the wider team to enable them to continue and build on their success to date.
Experience in project accounting would be useful, as would previous (operations) experience in manufacturing/engineering/construction. You must be a fully qualified Accountant, with 1 - 3 years proven management accounting experience; previous staff management experience is not essential, but this role could evolve into a full managerial position with direct reports in the future.
This is a truly exciting time to join the business in a pivotal role, which will perfectly prepare you in the future for a No1 Finance role in an SME or an FC role within a bigger group due to the variety of experience you will gain. Reporting into an exceptional, hands-on FD who is really keen to mentor and develop you as they prepare and upskill for the future.
In return, you will be offered a package including a competitive basic salary, hybrid working, family healthcare, and on-site parking.
For more information, please get in touch as soon as possible. Interviews are scheduled to take place w/c 11th November.
