Your Role: Construction Director We are seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead a portfolio of landmark projects, including cutting-edge care facilities, state-of-the-art day nurseries, and prestigious residential developments such as our flagship Downtown Victoria North project—a 237-apartment complex in the heart of Manchester. Reporting to the Group Managing Director, you will oversee the entire construction process from planning through completion, ensuring every project meets our exacting standards in quality, safety, cost, and timeline. Key Responsibilities Lead & Inspire : Spearhead project teams and manage supply chains to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with a focus on quality. Drive Performance : Oversee weekly progress, collaborate with department heads to resolve any challenges, and uphold a culture that prioritizes excellence. Set Quality Standards : Cultivate an on-site culture that ensures the highest quality at every stage of the build. Champion Safety : Maintain rigorous safety standards, instilling best practices in every team member to guarantee a safe work environment. Embrace Continuous Improvement : Foster a culture of improvement by encouraging feedback and implementing new ideas. Client Relationship Management : Build and sustain strong client relationships, handling changes effectively and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Project Set-Up & Close-Out : Implement and oversee quality processes, ensuring alignment across cost, scope, and timeline from inception to final handover. Performance Tracking : Periodically assess project progress, health and safety, environmental standards, and commercial performance, ensuring alignment with targets. What You Bring Proven leadership with 10 years in high-level construction management and contract administration MCIOB qualification (or equivalent experience) In-depth understanding of building regulations, the Building Safety Act, and construction methodologies Strong commercial awareness and organizational skills Extensive knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices Proficiency in managing large teams, contractors, and consultants UK driving license Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Why McGoff Construction?
