The Job People are currently looking for Assembly Operative's for our manufacturing client based in B35 7AG. Must have carpentry / joiner / framework experience The ideal candidate will have experience with hand tools, power tools and possess mechanical knowledge. This is a long term role, and there is every potential to gain a full time contract after a 12 week period. The chosen candidate must have previous experience working to targets within a manufacturing/production industry. This role is full time only - no part time roles available. Training provided - we ask for candidates with a can do attitude and willingness to learn. Details of an Assembly Operative based in B35 Sutton Coldfield: Monday to Friday Monday to Thursday 06.00 - 14.00 Early finish on a Friday. 06.00 - 13.20 Monday to Thursday 14.00 - 22.00 Friday 13.20 - 20.40 Flexibility in shifts will be required to support busier periods. Potentially 12 hour shifts or additional night shifts. (premiums will be paid) or rotation AM & PM. Paying between £12.00 & £19.50 per hour. Opportunity for hourly rate to increase once trained on a variety of roles. Overtime available Long term opportunity - perm contract opportunities. Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for skill development and advancement Free parking on site Early finish on Fridays Great team atmosphere As an Assembly Operative you will have the below experience: Proficient in using hand tools and power tools Previous experience as a carpenter, joinery, labouring or assembly. Ability to interpret assembly instructions and blueprints Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude Attention to detail and precision in work Previous experience working to targets in a production environment. Able to count in CM's and MM's using a tape measure accurately. Excellent time management. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to lift loads of up to 25kg.As an Assembly Operative based in B35, Sutton Coldfield, you will be required but not limited to the below: Working on a production line follow set processes / instructions to build wooden frameworks Use hand tools and power tools to complete assembly tasks Using Air power tools and electrical saws. Follow assembly instructions and blueprints meticulously Inspect finished products for quality assurance Maintain a clean and organised workspace Working in a fast paced production environment. Able to work rotating shifts from 6am till 2pm, 2pm till 10pm, 10pm till 6am. Able to hit production targets on an hourly, daily and weekly basis.
