Our client, the trusted Ministry of Defence partner in the UK, is seeking a skilled Test Architect to play a vital role in defining and managing the requirements for Test Equipment and Test Specifications. This position is based at our Stevenage site.
What we're looking for:
* Ideally educated to degree level with substantial experience in Test, Electrical, and electronic engineering.
* Digital electronics and microprocessor systems.
* Analogue electronics; Power Electronics.
* Test Equipment Design.
* DOORS (Essential)
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Good understanding of Project Management, planning, cost, and budget control.
* Ability to manage diverse and conflicting stakeholders effectively.
* Capability to technically manage internal and sub-contract activities.
* Strong influencing skills with managers and stakeholders across the company.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
What you'll get to do as a Test Architect:
The project involves defining and implementing a comprehensive test strategy and BIT architecture, including coverage requirements, timings, and system-level routines. It specifies missile factory pass-out testing to ensure correct build and supports the manufacturing team with optimal test stages during production. Additionally, it outlines in-service test routines on missiles and generates and manages compliance to lower-level test requirements for design teams, including test access needs, BIT coverage/timings, and factory test functionality. The project also involves analysing and modelling systems to understand test coverage and generate diagnostic instructions. Furthermore, it proposes and recommends cost versus test coverage trade-offs with the Chief Design Engineer and produces and maintains plans for activities within the sphere of responsibility.
