Summary
This apprenticeship will mainly consist of assisting our very busy e-commerce, sales and mail-order teams to maximise DTC (direct to consumer) sales and ensure all our customers receive the best and most efficient service and experience possible. There will be a great deal of business administration.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
There will be a great deal of business administration and the successful candidate will become proficient in Microsoft 365 (primarily in Outlook, Word and Excel). They will also learn CMS on the Adobe Magento platform, learning how to upload, edit and maintain products on the Cherry Red website as well as popular online music market-places like Amazon, Discogs and EBay. They will also learn a lot of general office administration like sending orders, sending post, printing, scanning, filing, stock-taking, archiving and updating online systems and electronic documents.

Duties include:
* Packing and posting orders
* Logging orders on systems and shared documents
* Franking/sednding the post
* Tracking international orders through Royal Mail
* Sending out promo copies of new releases
* Editing and updating online e-commerce platforms
* Adding new releases to online e-commerce platforms
* Managing stock such as new releases and vinyl
* Answering the phone
* Taking phone orders
* Helping to respond to emails from customers
* Amending orders and refunding where necessary
* Answering messages to customers on e-commerce platforms
* Sending licensing copies of new releases (to Warner, BMG etc)
* Uploading titles (including whole catalogues) to the Cherry Red website
* Sending stock in the office back to Cherry Red's warehouse
* Communicating with Cherry Red's fulfillment partner to locate missing orders
* CMS on the Cherry Red website (hosted by Adobe Magento) including uploading new products, editing products and general maintenance of info on Cherry Red's website.
* Printing, scanning, stock-taking, archiving.
* Other adhoc administrative tasks as and when needed

Course contents
* Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
* Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
* Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
* Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
* Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms. Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively. Training and support will be provided by our specialist Apprenticeship training provider, Smart Training & Recruitment.
In order to meet the eligibility criteria for an Apprenticeship in England, you must be able to demonstrate at least three years UK residency, or hold a valid visa that meets the exceptions to this rule.
Please note, as part of the Initial Assessment process, all qualifications will be verified by the Learning Records Service (LRS) via Department for Education.
