An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our clients-friendly team here! Bring your ideas and enthusiasm to the role and suggestions are always welcome, as they strive for continuous improvement in both how they operate and the service that they offer.
Duties will include:
* Undertake all general nursing duties within the practice and nurse appointments.
* Participate in the admission and discharge process of patients, the accuracy of which is of vital importance.
* Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of the premises and patient areas, particularly the clinical areas with regular cleaning/routine care of all equipment to include the correct methods of sterilisation and reporting any faults or damage.
* Administer treatment (e.g. injections, medications, fluid therapy, and dressings) and dispense medication as instructed by the veterinary surgeon, all in accordance with professional guidelines and practice policies.
* Ensure you keep accurate records with regard to medical records, anaesthetic sheets, hospitalisation forms, etc.
* Maintain accurate client and patient records.
* Ensure effective stock rotation/replenishment where applicable.
* Understand and implement practice and group policies.
* Take an active role in the training program of veterinary nurses and animal care/kennel assistants.
Hours: Full-time position (40 hours a week) over either 4 or 5 days, this is flexible and we can accommodate part-time hours to suit. Flexible shift patterns between 9:30 am and 6:30 pm, a share of the Saturday rota which is 1:4 (full day). No out-of-hours.
Salary: The salary on offer for this role is up to £30,000 p/a depending on experience.
