Finance Manager Contract Length: Until Feb 1st - Permanent thereafter Location: South East of England Pay Rate: DOE Salary when becomes Permanent: £50,000 - £60,000 Start Date: November Hybrid working: Flexible - likely once per fortnight in office. Days p/w: ideally 5 but can consider part time. You will be expected: To lead on all financial management, overseeing financial operations and accounting processes. To manage the preparation of all financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis, and year-end financial reports. To develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's strategic goals. To manage the closure of the Company's accounts. To manage cash flow and forecasting, develop a reliable cash flow projection process, and reporting mechanism. To analyse and manage risk, including credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks. To produce and present regular detailed financial reports on revenue and capital funds to the Senior Leadership team and company Board. To drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices. Candidates must have: A CCAB qualification or equivalent. Extensive Knowledge and experience of private sector finance and legislation. Extensive Experience of working with Shared Services, LATCO or other Local Authority. Extensive Knowledge of budget preparation, forecasting and modelling systems and techniques developed over a 2-4 year period. Extensive Knowledge of the relevant Code of Practice Excellent financial analytical skills and the ability to undertake complex reconciliations.
