About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Database Administrator to join our digital team. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems to ensure their optimal performance, security, integrity, and availability.
The role involves:
1. Monitoring database performance, implementing changes, and applying new patches and versions when required.
2. Creating data export scripts to be used by the Data Team for reporting.
3. Implementing and maintaining SSIS packages.
4. Creating technical and functional documentation and ensuring that it is reviewed and maintained accurately.
5. Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues in a timely manner and providing incident support to staff.
6. Installing, configuring, and upgrading database management systems (DBMS).
About You
The successful candidate will have:
1. Certification in database administration (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator or equivalent).
2. 2 years’ experience in a database administrator role.
3. Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. SQL Server).
4. Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization.
5. Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
6. Experience in creating data update and export scripts.
