Description
Working collaboratively with the Global SDVM Director, we are looking for a Head of SDVM who has an innate flare and passion for beauty, to help deliver the SDVM strategy across the global market. With a holistic view of the departments workload and opportunities, you will lead and support a team of 2. Your key deliverables will be team culture, creativity, processes and ways of working, VM standards, campaigns, store design evolution and budget.
What Will You Do?
* Develop the brand vision and business objectives through compelling design and storytelling.
* Instill creativity within the team and collaboration to deliver premium innovative experiences within our retail estate across the globe.
* Develop talent by creating a culture of exchange and consistent feedback.
* Oversee the VM manager on the creation of campaign toolboxes and schematic updates.
* Oversee the 3D Designer and ensure clear briefing and priorities of all visualization campaign deliverables and ad-hoc projects.
* 2D Artwork: Ensure all graphic language is accurate and consistent across all toolkits and ad-hoc projects like events.
* Support the global SDVM Director on evolving the SDVM Design bible: catalogue of fixture typology per distribution channel (Dept. stores, FSS, SMC).
* Understand cultural relevancies to adapt pop up & event toolkits.
The Perfect Candidate:
* Bachelors degree in related field required: Architecture, Product design, VM, Interior or Retail design.
* Previous leadership experience is essential as 2 direct reports.
* Excellent collaboration skills to work with the wider business in sales, marketing departments plus regional GMs.
* Be consumer centric, demonstrate a good understanding of the customer journey in beauty and have an excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent understanding of creative processes.
* Understanding of approval processes within brand teams and third parties (GM, brand stakeholders).
* 8+ years experience, preferably in luxury / premium beauty / accessories in store design and visual merchandising.
* Intermediate knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator.
* Proficient in CAD Vectorworks or similar software.
* Able to use Mac Keynote (for toolboxes) & basic knowledge of Microsoft package.
* Awareness of competition / trends to maintain relevancy in our VM deliverables.
* Strong organisation and communication skills.
* Must be a team player as all work will be team based, across multiple functions.
