A well established and growing accountancy firm with offices in Canary Wharf and near Cambridge, and with a reputation for high-quality service, is seeking to recruit a new Manager for their Cambourne office. The firm are offering £45-60k (flexible), annual bonus scheme, contributory pension, share option plan, hybrid working and more.
Reporting to Partner level, and at an important time in the firm's continuing development, this role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to not only help manage an existing portfolio of clients, but also to grow the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a substantial portfolio of client accounts;
* Work with senior colleagues in furthering the goals and ambitions of the firm, particularly in the provision of a high quality service to its existing client base, and helping to develop new business;
* Manage an existing team, comprising Team Leader, semi-seniors and junior colleagues;
* Update and maintain accurate records on the internal management system;
* Make suggestions on how to improve the firm's workflow processes and procedures;
* Other duties as may reasonably be requested from time to time.
Minimum Requirements:
* Preferably a fully qualified member of CIMA, ACCA or the ICAEW, with PQE;
* Applications from part-qualified individuals with extensive work experience will also be considered;
* Senior accountants and highly experienced semi senior accountants will be considered;
* Must have demonstrable experience of successfully dealing with clients directly;
* Must have experience of managing less senior colleagues in a practice environment;
* This position requires confidence, flexibility and enthusiasm;
* Must be a clear communicator, possessing excellent written and oral communication skills;
* Presentable, courteous and polite.
Salary depending on experience, ranging from £45k-60k (higher for very strong experience). CPD and/or further professional study support; approved contributory pension; share option plan; limited absences allowance additionally offered; annual bonus scheme linked to performance targets.
