Health & Safety Coordinator Maesteg £30k - £32k depending on experience We are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to support our Global Client’s Health and Safety Manager in maintaining a safe, compliant, and safety-conscious workplace. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on workplace health and safety. Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining health & safety policies and procedures. Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections, identifying hazards and ensuring corrective actions are taken. Deliver engaging safety training to employees on procedures, equipment use, and emergency protocols. Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and recommend preventive measures. Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, training logs, and compliance documentation. Support emergency response planning and ensure readiness for potential incidents. Promote a strong safety culture, encouraging proactive hazard reporting and safe working practices. Ensure safety equipment is maintained, fully operational, and compliant with regulations. Stay informed of industry regulations and best practices to keep the company compliant. The Person A degree or certification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred At least 2 years’ experience in health & safety within the manufacturing sector. Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and compliance in manufacturing. Experience in risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations. Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs. Knowledge of hazardous materials management and emergency response planning. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret safety data and drive improvements. Proficiency in safety management software & Microsoft Office.
