We have an exciting opportunity to join the Women’s Health Gynaecology Team at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) as an Endometriosis Nurse Specialist working within a highly skilled team of nurses and clinicians. The post will cover both sites of UHD with one site being the base site.
Endometriosis is a life challenging disorder that affects over 1.5 million women in the UK- around 1 in 10 women from puberty to menopause although the impact may be felt for life. It is a complex illness that often is not quickly diagnosed when women first present with symptoms. Evidence suggests that care can be delayed due to a lack of awareness and understanding of the disease amongst health care workers,
We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate registered nurse/ midwife with a desire to develop their career within gynaecology to help develop our endometriosis service, where we are committed to investing in the professional development and wellbeing of our staff.
Our UHD gynaecology service is currently in the process of transformation to build a service that will better meet the needs of the local population across both Bournemouth and Poole for the future. The post holder will play a key role in influencing transformation within the Endometriosis team; making this is an exciting time to join us as we move forwards together.
