We have been engaged by a loyal, highly regarded company that are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to ensure the smooth running of the accounting functions. This role involves maintaining effective filing and record-keeping systems, ensuring records are up-to-date, and managing various financial and secretarial duties to support the company's statutory requirements and strategic financial planning.
Day-to-day of the role: Maintain and reconcile records for all company bank accounts as required.
Prepare monthly management accounts and collaborate with the Managing Director to prepare annual financial and capex budgets.
Manage company secretary duties and oversee the company’s utilities, insurance cover, and R&D tax reporting.
Prepare cash flow summaries, advising on financial constraints that may affect company performance.
Maintain accurate records of purchases and manage monthly and salaries payroll, ensuring timely payments to HMRC.
Develop systems and procedures to improve operational quality and efficiency in the finance department.
Manage staff scheduling, including assignments, training, and shift rotations.
Ensure compliance with financial legislation, employment, and health and safety laws.
