Key Responsibilities of Geography Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring all students are motivated and challenged. Teach a range of subjects to students in Key Stage 3 (Ages 11-14) and Key Stage 4 (Ages 14-16). Organize and supervise extracurricular geography activities and events, fostering a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject. Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external partners to enhance the geography curriculum and support student development. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate. Promote health and safety in all geography activities, ensuring students understand the importance of safe practices. Requirements of Geography Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience in teaching geography is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in geography. Commitment to promoting a love for geography and a curiosity about the world.
