Chief Executive - Bridgend County Borough Council
Job description
If you are looking for a leadership role where you can make a real impact, then Bridgend could be the ideal destination. We are an organisation that is performing well (our recycling rates are setting the standard in Wales), but we want to do more. We’ll look to our new Chief Executive to be a catalyst for innovation and improvement – ensuring that effective performance management establishes clarity on our objectives and how we will measure progress towards these. You’ll work closely with political leadership to ensure clarity and consensus on our strategic direction and then ensure that we make the very best use of resources available to deliver.
We are looking for someone who is a proven leader, who can bring about operational and cultural change and who has a thorough understanding of local government and working in a political setting. You’ll welcome challenge and scrutiny, recognising that it is essential to identifying opportunities for service improvement, and encourage an organisational culture founded on constructive challenge and professional support – to draw the very best from others.
