With posts available, in avariety of areas across Wiltshire you will need to be willing to be flexible onlocation to meet the needs of our services. However, this is an excellentopportunity to train as you earn, whilst completing this apprenticeship.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to attendUniversity in Swindon for a day per week, and although you will be based in 1service area, you will need to undertake 4 placements at an alternativelocation over the two years. Therefore, there will be the requirement to travelas part of this program. You will be supported to learn on the job by thehealthcare team and a dedicated work-based tutor.
We are proud of our staff andsupport career progression so if you successfully complete the 2-year trainingcourse, and become registered, you will be offered an opportunity to apply andinterview for a permanent job as a Band 4 Nursing Associate although this maynot be in the team where you undertook the apprenticeship. Once established inthis role, the opportunity for further training to become a registered nursemay also be possible.
Successful candidates will needto demonstrate at least 12 months caring experience, achieved an NVQ level 3 orequivalent, Care Certificate, Functional Skills Level 2 Maths & English,or GCSE Level C or above in English and Maths. Training willcommence on September 24.

Essential
1. Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence.
Qualifications
Essential
2. GCSEs Grade A-C in Maths and English or key skills level 2 in Maths and English (to be evidenced by a test if relevant qualifications not available)
3. Demonstrable ability to study at Level 5 Diploma of Higher Education Level and commit to completing the Level 5 Apprenticeship
Desirable
4. NVQ level 2/3 qualification or A levels
5. Healthcare qualification such as the care certificate

6. Some experience of working within a health and social care environment
7. Ability to communicate with members of the public and health and care providers
8. Courteous, respectful and helpful at all times
