Ensure a person-centred approach providing a high standard of service user care that is in accordance with relevant legislation, such as the Mental Capacity Act. Provide specialist clinical advice and undertake clinical risk assessment and planning. Promote and participate in multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment planning. Work with service users and their families/advocates to offer clinical insight based on best practice in the formulation of person-centred health and wellbeing assessments based on individual choice and need. Ensure that care providers are aware of the theoretical and practical reasons for the clinical interventions for each service user and take a lead role in the delivery of relevant training. Identify and provide training in response to specific service user needs. Ensure all nursing staff are updated on all aspects of medicines management. Ensure that service user records and documentations are kept in accordance with Trust and NMC policies and guidelines. Act as a role model in the delivery of care. Promote learning opportunities for staff working in the service area.
