Whist we are able to pay up to £38, this rate is for those deemed to be at Qualified Occupational Therapist level with over 2 years experience.

Job Description :
Working as an Occupational Therapist in the Countywide review team, your role will involve working with adults from 18 years and upwards with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and chronic health conditions.
The focus is to complete a thorough strengths-based review, but tasks will also include mental capacity act assessments and Continuing Health Care checklists and decision support tools.
You will work as part of a strong and dynamic reviewing service. You will be expected to contribute to strengths-based assessments utilizing Occupational Therapy skills and knowledge to develop and implement a plan of support, aimed at improving wellbeing and delivering outcomes.
The plan may include advice, information, the provision of assistive equipment and recommendations for home adaptation.
You’ll be expected to use up to date evidence-based practice to inform your intervention and where appropriate carry out risk assessments and undertake assessments under the appropriate adults’ legislation.
There will be a requirement to contribute to Continuing Health Care assessments, utilising specialist knowledge to input into this Multi-Disciplinary assessment.
Qualifications and/or experience:
• Diploma / BSc Occupational Therapy or equivalent Occupational Therapy qualification.
• Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience of undertaking clinical functional assessments and of Occupational Therapy intervention planning, implementation and review.
• Experience of working as an Occupational Therapist with people with physical disabilities in the community providing appropriate interventions to enable independence at home.
• Experience of inter-agency and multi-disciplinary work to support collaborative working relationships.
• Good knowledge and experience of working with the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and NHS funded Nursing Care
• Valid, full driving licence.
