Key Responsibilities As a Highways Supervisor, you will: Collaborate with Project Management to optimize workforce levels, materials, and project progress. Ensure optimal labor levels while adhering to VVB CORE principles. Mentor apprentices, including allocating work and reporting on progress. Supervise subcontractors and stakeholders on-site to maintain project standards. Manage daily workforce activities to meet project timelines. Uphold health and safety standards, addressing concerns promptly with the Project Manager. Compile daily and weekly reports. Maintain equipment and report breakages. Interpret, communicate, and mark up site drawings and documentation. Validate test certificates to ensure quality of work. Collaborate closely with engineers and subcontractors on installation and buildability issues. Person Specification Technical Knowledge and Skills Essential: - Knowledge of H&S legislation. - Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of CDM processes. - Ability to interpret drawings. Desired: - Knowledge of HERS. - Familiarity with National Highways systems and technologies. - Knowledge of National Highways specifications and standards.
