Salary: £27,492.40 - £31,704.28 FTE Actual salary - £9,447.75 - £10,895.16
Job Type: 15 Hours per week - Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am - 3pm - 36 working weeks per year

About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to become an English Coach at City of Portsmouth College. The role is to support students in improving their skills in English. The English Coach will work with small groups of students and will be responsible for designing and delivering effective academic interventions that cater to the needs of individual students and help them excel in English. The English Coach will work closely with English Teachers to communicate student progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English up to GCSE level.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
2. Plan creative learning activities.
3. Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement, under the guidance of the teacher/lecturer.
4. Provide encouragement and positive motivation.
5. Support the student in achieving their qualification.
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
1. A good standard of basic education (Maths and English GCSE pass or equivalent).
2. 2 to 3 A Level passes or equivalent in a relevant subject.
