Dow US Operations is seeking active participants in the Dow National Student Program or Dow Local College Co-op Program pursuing an Engineering or Engineering Technology degree for full-time New College Graduate opportunities.
ABOUT OPERATIONS: The Operations function within Dow consists of four focus areas: Manufacturing, Technical Expertise & Support (TES), Environmental, Health, & Safety Operations (EH&S), and Emergency Services & Security (ES&S). These translate business strategies into operational results.
ABOUT YOU: Your role will involve responsibilities across various settings such as chemical plant safety, environmental performance, process operation, optimization, modification, maintenance, and technology implementation. Engineers must use sound technical judgment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. We invite you to help us combine expertise, future-focused technologies, and sustainability to solve global issues. You will work as part of a team at Dow, addressing real-world problems.
The majority of positions are available in Louisiana, Michigan, and Texas, with limited opportunities in other US sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
Chemical Engineer: Provide technical support to plant personnel for safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, process improvements, safety, cost optimization, project management, and technology implementation.
Mechanical Engineer: Support maintenance, reliability, production, and project engineering through technical expertise. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, process improvements, failure analysis, and equipment design.
Electrical Engineer: Support power plant operations, maintenance, and project engineering. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, process improvements, and safety enhancements.
Civil Engineer: Support project work from small improvements to large facility designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for successful project completion.
Required Qualifications:
* Active participant in Dow’s Student or Co-op Program.
* Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
* Graduation no later than September 2025.
* Legal ability to work permanently in the US; no visa sponsorship available.
Preferred Qualifications:
* GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 4.00 scale).
