AHP Research and Development Lead – 14.8 Hours Per Week, Band 8a (2 year fixed term/secondment opportunity)
NHS Grampian are recruiting an Allied Health Professions (AHP) Research & Development Lead who has a passion for research and will assist in achieving the research objectives of the AHP Directorate by supporting NHS Grampian's research strategy and assist with strengthening our AHP research culture by supporting the growth of research capacity and capability in the AHP workforce.
The post-holder will work closely with the Clinical Research Professor of AHPs and provide expertise and guidance to AHP researchers in the development of their research design, planning and facilitation of research, advising on the completion of grant and fellowship applications as well as general advice e.g. ethics and governance permissions.
The post-holder is required to work with AHP staff across all departments and levels, including senior staff and clinicians, to support research activity and provide advice relating to the research process. They will be required to liaise with NHS Grampian Research & Development (R&D) and the local Universities (RGU and Aberdeen) Research Governance offices, as well as R&D offices throughout Scotland, other Scottish HEIs and the Council for Allied Health Professions Research as appropriate. They will play a key role in the North East Scotland Network for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions Research (NoSCAR).
The post-holder will be responsible for promoting AHP research and capacity-building initiatives, supporting AHP researcher development and encouraging more interest in and applications to external funding bodies.
