Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team as a Children in Care Specialist.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children's social work, excellent case management skills, and a commitment to supporting children and young people in care.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of children and young people in care, ensuring each child receives the appropriate level of care and support.
* Conduct regular assessments to monitor the progress and well-being of children in care.
* Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with children, foster carers, and other professionals.
* Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people in care, helping them to achieve stability and success.
* Advocate for the rights and needs of children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and considered in all decisions.
* Facilitate access to resources and services, such as education, healthcare, and extracurricular activities.
* Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care.
* Follow local safeguarding procedures and policies.
* Report and document any concerns or incidents promptly and accurately.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW) from an accredited institution.
Registered with Social Work England.
