Salary: Negotiable circa GBP 45K - GBP 55K pa plus car options and other benefits. Part Time / Flexible working option available: paid pro rata.
Working Hours: Normal working hours Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5.00. 25 days Holiday plus Bank Holidays or Part Time Flexible Time to discuss.
On behalf of our Client, we are looking for an experienced candidate to deliver training on Electrical Health and Safety, Safe Isolation and Resetting Trips and Overloads, Duty Holder's Safety of Electrical Systems, Fundamental Industrial Electrical Inspection and Testing, C and G 18th Edition, In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (formerly PAT), etc.
The role would suit an Electrical Trainer or Instructor working within another educational organisation or college. Equally, we have successfully recruited experienced Maintenance Managers, Electricians and Multiskilled Engineers who have the required experience within the industrial environment and are keen to help others learn.
As a Training Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to engage with customers from all manufacturing sectors making use of a wide variety of hardware to conduct the training courses to train our Clients customers and in-house teams.
Our Client has a first-class reputation and has invested heavily in their ability to provide training courses both locally at customer sites or at the Client's own premises. This is a brilliant role for an Industrial Electrical Engineer to take a career change by moving into a coaching role.
Responsibilities:
* Primarily to support and deliver some of our key Industrial courses.
* Develop and maintain good training notes and materials and deliver the training.
* Help build new examples and exercises for the training.
* Occasionally visit a customer site to assess skills or help fault-find.
* Courses are delivered in the company Training Centre and also on client sites across the UK and occasionally overseas.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Knowledge and experience in the Electrical areas mentioned above.
* The ability to communicate clearly and a strong desire to help others learn.
* IT skills including MS Office package.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Previous experience in coaching, mentoring, and/or developing colleagues or delivering classroom-led training would be an advantage.
* It is NOT REQUIRED that applicants should have particular technical or professional qualifications.
* More important is knowledge of the requirements of the job in industry and a strong desire to help others learn.
