Assembly Fitter

Responsibilities:
* Disassemble and reassemble repair/service for aftermarket orders, maintaining efficiency and compliance with specified procedures.
* Work within the assembly department to support cost-effective production while meeting quality standards.
* Take responsibility for personal work quality, conducting self-inspections and completing all necessary documentation and checklists.
* Support the Operations Manager in addressing assembly-related issues, collaborating with other departments to resolve and document problems in accordance with current procedures.
* Assist in the preparation and revision of assembly documentation, programs, and tooling as required.
* Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
* Be available for on-site service work at customer locations when necessary.
* Perform tasks in other areas as needed to support operational requirements.
* Work alongside management to implement company policies and objectives.
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Assist in the test area if necessary, including hydro, performance, noise, and vibration testing.
What are we looking for in an Assembly Fitter?
* Time served Apprenticeship Mechanical Fitter with up to 3 years relevant experience preferably in heavy manufacturing.
* Have an understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
* Team Player with high level of energy and commitment required for participating in and implementing change.
* Strong communication skills; both written and verbally.
