The Assistant Land Manager / Graduate Surveyor role is part of an expansion of the BJB Land & Development Team which covers the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire & the North West.
The department deals with all aspects of Residential Development, focusing mainly on the sale of residential development land, either by Auction, Informal Tender or Private Treaty. Additionally, there are elements of valuation, development appraisal, new homes pricing, and all other matters related to residential development.
Job Description
The position is permanent and full-time: Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5.30 and based in the BJB Longton Branch. The role will involve regular travel across the region together with the opportunity for an element of homeworking. Work will be allocated to suit the location of the individual who will ideally live within an hour’s drive of the office (ST3 2NS).
Duties will include the following:
1. Assist the team in winning new business by researching Land & New Homes opportunities and lead generation using various internet portals and marketing tools.
2. Arranging and attending Client and site meetings as necessary to support the Team in winning new business.
3. Liaise with all BJB branches and assist in the marketing of all Auction Land Lots, including the preparation of marketing information, Client liaison, and negotiation with bidders and sales progression via liaison with solicitors.
4. Assist the Team with the marketing and sale of larger residential development sites, including the preparation of marketing information, Client liaison, fielding enquiries, and sales progression via liaison with solicitors.
5. Attend team meetings and work-related functions as required.
6. Any other duties commensurate with the role.

No previous experience in land is required as on-going training will be given.
A remuneration package of circa £40,000 is available to the right person. This is made up of a basic salary of £25,000, commission, BMW car, Laptop & Phone. Mileage and business expenses will also be paid.
