A prominent and reputable infrastructure contractor is looking for an SHEQ Advisor to join their department and help support the function across a range of exciting civil engineering schemes. This is a key role in driving SHEQ standards throughout their projects across in East Anglia and Northern Home Counties. Reporting into the SHEQ Manager, you will be: • Developing risk assessments and method statements and maintaining management system documentation • Actively promoting a positive attitude towards Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality matters • Experienced in site inspections and engaging site personnel in safety in challenging environments • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required • Well-versed with construction risk and identifying and mitigating on-site • Carry out and evaluate risk assessments for specific tasks and write safe systems of work • Maintaining/promote liaison with officials and professional bodies (e.g., HSE, ROSPA, IOSH, EA) Home-based, you will also have: • NEBOSH Construction (ESSENTIAL) • NVQ Level 4/5/6 Diploma (preferable) • Construction/Civil Engineering/Utilities site inspection experience (preferably within Highways and Infrastructure) • Experience in ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 • A self-motivated and autonomous manner • IOSH membership • The ability to adapt your ideas and approaches to suit changing priorities or solutions This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a fantastic reputation in the industry.
