We are looking for enthusiastic IMT3 Level Doctors to join our highly performing Stroke and Renal units based at Basildon Hospital.
Working within our Stroke Unit which is a regional centre for excellence, as an IMT3 level Trust Grade doctor, you will have the opportunity to cover inpatient work which will include treatment and care of patients in HASU & ASU.
The Renal unit role will focus on mixture of outpatient management of patients with different stages of chronic kidney disease and End stage renal disease including multi-disciplinary meetings and inpatient admission at Elizabeth Fry ward including outliers. So, it will gives you a lot of opportunities to learn and develop your skillset.
You may also participate in the Specialty Registrar (Higher) renal rota if their skill level is appropriate and there is space available – this will attract an additional pay supplement.
You will not take part in on call duties until a period of induction and close supervision has been undertaken and both they and the Supervising consultant are satisfied that they are competent and ready. The trainee will always have access to Consultant or senior Registrar support during on call periods.
Finally, you will have access to training opportunities on par with UK trainees and although this appointment is not accredited for training through HEE, the appointee will be expected to participate fully in the educational and training programmes within the hospital
