My client is the leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of ultimate low loss amorphous transformer technology.
The Role:
1. Your duties will be the fitting of various types of distribution and power transformers along with the wiring and assembly of components for the marshalling department from scratch.
2. Preparing work by studying assembly instructions, reading and interpreting electrical layout drawings and schematic wiring, parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
3. Assembling components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
4. Crimping, looming and cable terminating work on control panels.
5. Glanding and terminating various SWA cables.
6. Cutting and fitting tray work to run cables on transformers.
7. Soldering.
8. Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the fitting role.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
1. Hands on experience of electrical assembly and wiring of control panels is essential.
2. Hands on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is essential.
3. Cable end termination experience (Crimping/soldering) is essential.
4. Hold electrical qualifications and have knowledge of electrical regulations is essential.
5. The ability to understand electrical schematic drawings is essential.
6. Have good written and verbal communication skills.
