We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader onto the PM Shift for our customer Segen, in Medway – Hoo St Werburgh.
This is an exciting opportunity which will allow the right candidate chance to be part of a fast paced and challenging logistics environment working to maintain performance of the warehouse operations. The role will be working to meet the KPI requirements, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy and hygiene are maintained and working to support the Shift Manager in running the shift with a team of Warehouse Operatives, Quality Checkers and Administrators.
Shift pattern: Monday-Friday, 14:00-22:00
Salary: Up to £35,006.40 per annum
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Colleague Engagement – To actively promote & engage within CSR activities to ensure the morale & wellbeing of all colleagues is a site priority.
2. Continuous Improvement – To actively support continuous improvement activities & adopt the ground up approach with all colleagues.
3. To be responsible for the Health and Safety of yourself and your colleagues by ensuring all tasks are carried out to the relevant procedures and by adhering to safe working practices at all times.
4. Ensure a high level of communication between colleagues and management is maintained and information flow is of the highest standard.
5. Maintain and promote both the companies and customers site cultures and values.
6. Ensure contractual customer service levels through the efficient running of the warehouse operation.
7. Managing productivity and absence of warehouse colleagues.
8. Ensure senior management are kept informed of all operational issues, in particular those that lead to service disruption or non-delivery.
9. Briefing the team at the beginning of each shift, to ensure that all operatives are fully communicated with about work patterns for the day.
10. Train and develop operational staff.

Essential:
11. Excellent leadership and management skills
12. Proven communication skills – Internally and externally
13. Experience within a third-party logistics business
14. Experience of managing a team of up to 20 people
Desirable:
15. Good IT Skills – Excel and Word
16. Minimum 2 years as a Warehouse/ Logistics Manager
