As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in checking the quality of incoming and outgoing materials and products, as well as overseeing production procedures. You will be an advocate for quality within the business, ensuring all products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Your responsibilities as a Quality Inspector:
1. Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to understand quality expectations.
2. Approve or reject raw materials based on quality standards and document supplier performance.
3. Inspect manufactured products using appropriate methods to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
4. Document and maintain records of measurements and tests, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR).
5. Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and advise on concessions and drawing issues.
6. Issue certificates of conformity and inspection reports to sign off and release parts.
Your current experience which will help you as a Quality Inspector:
1. At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. Proficient in using inspection equipment such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), measurement arms, and manual measurement tools like micrometers and calipers.
3. Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
4. Excellent attention to detail with a firm understanding of quality control procedures.
5. Good communication skills and the ability to keep the team informed of any concerns.
6. Reliable and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
What you can expect as a Quality Inspector:
1. GBP15 - GBP17 per hour, dependent on experience.
2. 40 hour week.
