YOUR ROLE
1. Work with the architect and the cross-discipline development teams to implement the relevant CI/CD automation for the team’s needs.
2. Responsible for the infrastructure provisioning, configuration, build, deployment and monitoring using Infrastructure as Code.
3. Work with clients and internal teams to develop new opportunities and creating a DevOps culture.
4. Operational support including application monitoring and troubleshooting.
5. Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
6. Share your knowledge and experience with colleagues as you coach them and mentor them, helping the team to grow their skills, as well as developing your own skills by experimenting with and learning new technologies.
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
1. Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
2. Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
3. Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
YOUR PROFILE
MUST HAVE SC, OR BE ELIGIBLE AND WILLING TO GAIN CLEARANCE.
1. Experience working with cloud technologies and services - AWS, Azure, GCP.
2. Proven experience in DevOps processes and best practices.
3. Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines - GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins etc.
4. Extensive experience with containerisation, virtualisation, and orchestration technologies - Docker, Kubernetes etc.
5. Extensive experience using Infrastructure as Code for configuration management and code implementation - Terraform etc.
6. Experience setting up and using monitoring and alerting tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Cloudwatch etc.
7. Experience using Configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, Packer, Chef.
8. Experience with various testing tooling - Selenium, Cucumber etc.
9. Experience in scripting - bash/shell.
10. Ability to be flexible and support the development, deployment, and pipelines of a variety of technologies - such as Java Spring Boot microservices, NodeJS frontend services, SQL/NoSQL databases and a variety of cloud components.
11. Experience using version control software - Git.
12. Experience working in an agile team environment.
13. Ability to converse with both internal and external stakeholders, always holding the appropriate level of conversation.
