We are seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant who will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller in providing comprehensive financial process and accounting services. The role: • Maintain the Property Fixed Assets Register on the asset management system, working closely with the business on new property additions, component additions, WIP and disposals in line with company policies and procedures. • Post depreciation onto the ledger monthly and perform monthly/yearly settlement runs for assets under construction. • Ensure capital grants are accurately recorded against each asset and amortised accordingly. • Responding to requests for Individual material code (IMAT) promptly. • Provide information for capex reporting. • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting and cashflow. • Assist with year-end audit preparation and implementation of internal audit recommendations. • Ensure that copies all contracts with third parties are recorded and signed documents saved in the folder e.g. lease documents, income contracts. • Working close with fundraising and operations to ensure that gift aid claims are submitted in a timely manner. • Ensure correct VAT coding for the group for both standard and partial VAT registrations. • Reconciliation of control accounts and any other reconciliations as required. • To provide cover for team colleagues as considered appropriate by the Financial Controller.
