The internal audit team deliver a range of risk-based audit and control related services across the council, and for Sandwell Children’s Trust, Sandwell Leisure Trust and the West Midlands Fire Service. We also work closely with the council’s Counter Fraud, Risk Management and Insurance teams. Responsibilities To help the internal audit team deliver a range of risk based internal audit reviews for both Sandwell Council and a small number of external clients. To help develop audit programmes, system records and statistical data, and use any other relevant information to ensure all areas of internal audit work is being carried out effectively. To play a role in investigations into suspected fraud and irregularities.
