PURPOSE OF THE JOB: You will operate as part of the Health spa team in delivering exceptional standards of customer service, product knowledge, and hygiene at all times. You are responsible for ensuring procedures are followed in accordance with Company Policy. As attendant team leader you will be in charge of looking after the spa attendant team, ensuring that our client’s journey is always of a high standard and assist in the exceeding of Spa financial targets. You will assist the Spa Manager in the compliance in all matters concerning Health & Safety and have a high responsibility for the pool plant operations and memberships. MAIN DUTIES: To oversee all gym memberships Assist in the running of the gym facilities. Maintain the Pool plant room, including day to day running of the facilities. Responsible for the water management and record keeping. Provide poolside supervision To assist in the day to day running of the Spa, deputising for the Manager in their absence. To be customer focused at all times. To process guest bookings and payments accurately and to assist with enquiries. To meet targets, objectives and budget figures as agreed with the Spa Manager for yourself, and then for your team To order stock when required. To coach and train the junior Spa/Beauty staff as and when required. To promote sales awareness and encourage team members to maximise sales opportunities. Maintain a strong awareness of competitor activity. Assist the Spa Manager in ensuring all areas of the Spa meet the required level of safety, carrying out regular checks in line with Company and Environmental Health Policy. Work closely with the Company’s Health & Safety Officer and EHO when required. Keep the Spa and equipment clean and in good working order. Address hazards and follow up maintenance requirements. Ensure all areas are dressed and presented in line with Company standards Maintain well presented, up to date spa collateral and displays to capture interest. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To complete all Health & Safety and Job Skills training as required. To work in accordance with Company Health & Safety guidelines especially in relation to Hazard and Accident. To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and relevant EC Directives. To undertake any training/coaching required by the Company to enable you to perform your duties effectively. PERSON SPECIFICATION: You will have a minimum of 1 year experience in quality operations, preferably in a spa holding similar accolades. You will be a confident communicator with both internal and external customers. You will actively relish the opportunity to interact with all guests. You will understand the importance of standards as a means to profitability. You must demonstrate a keen interest in fitness, beauty and well being. You will preferably be trained to Level 3 in Pool Plant Operation and hold a pool responder qualification You must be computer literate and have a sound understanding of Microsoft Office. You should be flexible and able to work any day of the week, including early mornings and late evenings and bank holidays. Longer shifts may be required on some days to enable the Business to maximise profit at peak times. You must be enthusiastic, hardworking and customer focused. You must be of smart appearance with excellent standards of personal hygiene.
