Position: Year 1 Teaching Assistant
Start Date: January 2025 (possibility for an earlier start depending on the successful applicant's availability)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Salary: Between £12.90 - £13.50 per hour, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Poulton-le-Fylde!
This is a great role for someone enthusiastic about helping children develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and play an important role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Year 1 class teacher in planning and delivering fun and educational activities.
* Work one-on-one and in small groups to support students’ understanding of core subjects, such as reading, writing, and maths.
* Assist with classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
* Help monitor and record students’ progress, providing valuable feedback to the teacher.
* Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages children’s social and emotional development.
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within Key Stage 1.
* A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, is highly desirable.
* Patient, approachable, and passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and phonics programs is an advantage.
