As Head of Local Engagement, you will take the lead on achieving our strategic objectives at local level and play a key role in shaping the future direction and growth of Skills for Care during a period of significant change.
You will head up a team of six experienced Heads of Region and indirectly their Locality teams, creating an environment where colleagues work cohesively to maximise impact whilst being confident to work autonomously on a day-to-day basis. You will set out an ambitious plan for the team providing leadership, direction and support to ensure its delivery.
You will work with the team to develop an evidence base of what works alongside measures of what success looks like, and bring creativity, innovation and challenge to drive local improvement and continually enhance impact.
As part of the senior management team, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for engagement at a regional and local level. You will lead operational planning and delivery, translating strategy into ambitious, impactful and measurable objectives.
As a senior leader in the sector, you will contribute to organisational development and positioning and hold collaboration and partnership as a core value. You will be skilled at making connections with external senior stakeholders, developing relationships, influencing and building partnerships in order to deliver on our ambitions.
You will be keen to develop your profile and to represent Skills for Care at a wide range of events, being the public face of Skills for Care on our strategic engagement agenda.
You will collaborate closely with leaders within the Engagement Directorate and across Skills for Care to drive forward our strategic position on regional engagement.
You will report to the Director of Engagement, have a budget responsibility for regional activities of c.£1.5m and indirectly lead a team of more than 40 colleagues.
