We have an exciting opportunity to lead our Single Lead Employer (SLE) Division, as we continue to expand the services we offer the NHS in Wales. The SLE Division is an innovative and new approach to providing a collaborative employment model for Doctors and Dentists in Postgraduate Training and Pharmacy Trainees within NHS Wales.
We are looking for an experienced, influential, and ambitious leader to build on our success in delivering value, innovation and excellence through partnership. This is a strategic role and you will be expected to drive initiatives to improve and modernise service delivery across NHS Wales.
Reporting to the Director of People, Organisational Development and Employment Services, you will work closely with the Medical Director and Deputy Medical Director, NHS Wales organisations, Welsh Government, the British Medical Association, Commercial Pharmacy and Commercial Dental colleagues.

Main duties of the job
You'll assume full strategic responsibility for the SLE Division leading our long-term strategic planning, working with stakeholders to ensure the service meets the needs of NHS Wales, and aligns with agreed tripartite organisational agreements. You will drive innovation and change and provide a modern excellent service to our customers.
Internally, you will lead the SLE Division, motivating team members to deliver a high quality and timely service to our customers and stakeholders. You'll be able to demonstrate success in the coaching and development of staff.
Externally, you'll represent NWSSP at stakeholder and customer meetings across Wales, with HEIW, Health Boards, Professional Bodies and Welsh Government.
You'll be comfortable working in changing and challenging environments. You will be an excellent negotiator and be confident working alongside executive colleagues from across the Public Sector.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Knowledge
* Knowledge of multiple NHS Wales stakeholder professional groups
* Experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area
* Extensive knowledge of Medical and Dental workforce matters
* Experience in delivering operational performance, information systems and service improvement
Experience
* Substantial senior management experience and working knowledge across a number of regulatory systems within NHS Wales
* Ability to influence Key Stakeholders including Directors and Trade Unions
* Practical understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion to enable best practice
