Position: Information & Engagement Manager
You will manage and deliver project activities for ‘Reading emPOWERed’. Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and made possible by National Lottery players, this project focuses on the local and global history of two renewable energy sources — wind and water — by drawing on the Trust’s existing records of milling heritage, the creation of new archival material, and contributions.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Engaging and building relationships with diverse local communities.
2. Expanding learning and understanding of the history of milling and renewable energy sources.
3. Enhancing the Trust’s local and national reputation.
4. Establishing the place of milling history within wider contexts.
5. Using milling as a lens through which to understand and engage with the past.
6. Advocating for the contemporary relevance of the past for current and future generations.
