Kingdom Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Band 6 Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team at an NHS hospital in Luton.
As a Band 6 Registered General Nurse (RGN), you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, such as wards, clinics, and the community.
You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, healthcare assistants, and therapists, to deliver patient-centred care that meets their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist nursing advice for both primary and secondary care and work to prevent TB by vaccination, education, and the monitoring of patients receiving care and treatment.
* In conjunction with UK Health Security Agency Staff, implement preventative and infection control measures according to agreed protocols.
* Assist with patient care working within a multi-disciplinary team across all directorates and departments.
* RGN Qualification.
* Current NMC Registration.
* Post registration experience in community or acute setting.
* Sound knowledge and experience of TB management.
* Experience of developing/working with protocols/PGD and clinical pathways.
* Experience of working within a community or infection control setting.
* Knowledge of screening and immunisation programmes.
* Excellent Communication Skills.
* Computer skills – Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
* Ability to work as an individual in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Ability to demonstrate flexibility in clinical situations.
* Ability to undertake immunisations.
* Good team player.
* Adaptability to client services and needs.
* Ability to undertake patient assessments and related work in a variety of settings in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
* Valid in-date Nursing and Midwifery Council's membership: You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have an in-date membership.
* At least 6 months' experience working as a Band 6 Registered General Nurse (RGN) in the UK.
* Valid UK visa that permits you to work as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in the UK.
* Vaccinations: You must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tuberculosis, and COVID-19.
* Desirable but not mandatory - Car driver: A valid car driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.
* Valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
* DBS certificate registered on the DBS update service.
