The role:
A new position has arisen for a Supplies Team Leader at Ashtead Hospital. Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager, the post holder will manage and be responsible for the efficient and effective day to day management of the Stores and supplies services across the site with specific focus on the theatres.
This post provides an outstanding opportunity for the successful candidate to build upon their knowledge and experience that has already been established across the stores and supplies functions.
A key criterion for the post will be a detailed understanding of the SAP supplies system.
This is very much a team role where we all support each other and may involve driving to our other sites, occasional portering and weekend work.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver best practice in supplies management working closely with HOD's
* Accountable for management of Stock within Theatres and the Hospital
* Order stock via SAP in line with company procurement policies
* Maintain and track changes in product use and stock levels
* Rationalise, where appropriate the stock within the hospital
* Arrange for deliveries and collections, with minimal costs
* Receipt Stock and file paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
* Organise the controlled distribution of stock to their relevant departments
* Perform stock takes and regular stock scans as required
* Maintain all stores and work area's clean and organised
What you will bring with you:
* Sound written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* Commercial and financial awareness
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
* Appropriate computer skills, particularly Excel
* Previous experience in a supplies role
* Ability to stay focused and calm under pressure
