Job summary
Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, a CQC Outstanding rate organisation, is looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our fantastic Older Adults team based at St Mary's Hospital, Kettering.
We are offering a £40,000 welcome bonus to the successful candidate, paid over the course of your first two years in post.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will need to be a born leader and a people person who loves to collaborate and innovate. You need to be MRC psych or equivalent with full registration, licensed and specialist registered or within six months of obtaining your CCT on the date of the Advisory Appointment Committee. The ability to travel to all locations within the Trust is essential.

Job responsibilities
The trust is leading nationally on physical treatments in mental health, nurse administered ECT, rTMS and ketamine infusion. We also have research collaboration with the Open University along with Nottingham, Oxford and Northampton University.
The Trust hosts Undergraduates from Leicester Medical schools with numerous opportunities to teach this cohort.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* The applicant will possess MRCPsych or equivalent, be included on the GMC's Specialist Register or Specialist Registrars within six months of completing CCST
* Full GMC Registration
* Management skills
* Basic computer skills including ability to use email/Internet
Desirable
* Publications in the field of psychiatry
* Management training
Special Aptitudes
Essential
* Experience of training Senior House Officers and multi-disciplinary staff
Desirable
* Evidence of first hand experience of developing services in a constantly changing environment and to tight budgetary restraints
* Experience of setting up induction and training packages for Junior Doctors
* Experience of training Specialist Registrars
* Understanding of contracting, finance and activity monitoring
