Job summary Band 3 Imaging Bookings Coordinator We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, reliable, enthusiastic Imaging Bookings Coordinator to join the Radiology Department at Heartlands hospital and the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) based at Heartlands hospital. The Heartlands hospital offers diagnostics services to UHB patients, and you must be able to engage positively with patient and colleagues. The candidates should enjoy working under pressure in a very busy booking office and be flexible to work at Washwood Heath CDC when required. The post holder will support the Radiology Department in booking appointments for our patients for their appropriate scans/images. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be IT competent. Duties include making appointments using electronic diary, waiting list management, with the main focus of ensuring we utilise all available slots within our lists. The Imaging Service at Heartlands Hospital and the CDC operates Monday Sunday, 8:00am 8pm. This is a permanent role. Flexible working is required covering a 7-day service across 5 days, 37.5 hours per week. This role will involve weekend work and the Bank holidays on a rotational basis. The Imaging Directorate provides 24/7 service delivery and has an established track record of service re-design and transformation. Main duties of the job Responsible for ensuring that a professional, comprehensive administrative service is effectively delivered to all patients and members of the department. This will be through the correct processing of all diagnostic radiology requests, monitoring breach dates and correctly making appointments with strict adherence to Trust protocols. The post holder will work closely with clinicians, clinical leads and managers to ensure the delivery of diagnostic pathways. You will be multi-skilled, able to follow appointment booking templates and have an understanding of capacity and demand issues. You will be required to rotate through all areas of diagnostic imaging. This will include, but is not limited to: Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Interventional Radiology Day Unit, X-ray, and DEXA. Flexibility will be key in supporting the department to meet the needs of the service.
