To ensure the smooth running of site transport and logistics activity at all MAC Clinical Research facilities. KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Excellent organisational skills. Proficient in basic Microsoft packages required for transport booking system. Previous experience of transport logistics (essential). Ability to manage and oversee own workload and that of team members and prioritise accordingly. Good communication skills. Have a positive approach within the working environment. Able to problem solve. Full/clean driving licence. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with the set-up of MAC transport services, including relevant SOP’s, and ensure procedures are implemented at all sites for the use of company transportation. Comply with all applicable legislation with regard to transportation of biological samples, Investigational Product and controlled drugs. Manage central booking system for transport management at MAC. Ensure all transport requirements are performed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Oversee any patient transport arrangements as required. Comprehensive and proactive management of driver resources to ensure complete cover for all MAC transportation requirements. Oversee the activities and any training required by members of the logistics team. Line Management of driving/logistics staff. Maintain fleet records and ensure vehicles are roadworthy. To work to the requirements of SI 2004 no 1031 and amendments thereof, which includes Good Clinical Practice To work according to current data protection standards and practice good information management. Maintenance of strict confidentiality of patient and business-related data. To maintain a high level of initiative and personal responsibility, liaising appropriately with team members and managers to ensure your job role is efficiently carried out PHYSICAL, WORK ENVIRONMENT, TRAVEL DEMANDS: Travel between MAC sites.
