Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Salary: Circa £42,000 dependent on experience
Location: Henlow
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen on the development and production manufacturing lines for a support engineer. You will be responsible for translating design requirements into user instructions, including developing the project manufacturing architecture and providing day-to-day support to the operations staff within the manufacturing facility.
This role offers growth potential within manufacturing, with exposure to Industrial Validation, manufacturing architecture, and future-oriented manufacturing principles.
Working alongside the Principal Engineer, you will handle multiple projects and be responsible for:
Supporting existing manufacturing lines and new product introductions.
Supporting the industrial validation process through FMEAs, process proving activities, and more.
Managing configuration control by incorporating design modifications into manufacturing documentation and industrial validation.
Supporting the non-conformance process.
Ensuring products are produced with consideration to safety, efficiency, and economic factors.
Assuming responsibilities for safe operating implementations for modified processes, working with COSHH assessors, SHE, and human factors.
Liaising with the design authority during product prototype/development phases to ensure optimised Design for Manufacture (DfM).
Compiling and updating Manufacturing Instructions while maintaining production BOMs.
Tooling development and control.
What We're Looking For From You:
Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 (Essential).
Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject OR a BEng in a relevant Engineering Degree.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and commitment to meeting delivery milestones.
Ability to interpret Design Drawings and produce Manufacturing Build Instructions.
Ability to work effectively within and contribute to a team environment.
Awareness of digital communication platforms to work and communicate effectively within the workplace.
