To help achieve these ambitious goals, we are looking for an E3 Environmental Effects Specialist to join the Vehicle Management System team. This role will focus on HRIF (High-Intensity Radiated Fields), Electromagnetic Compatibility, and Lightning Protection —ensuring the aircraft meets the highest safety and certification standards. Your contribution will be pivotal in helping the company realize its mission and deliver one of the first certified eVTOL aircraft to the market. We’re seeking an experienced and highly skilled individual to take on a leadership role in Environmental Effects Engineering. Key responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of environmental effects engineering, with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and innovation: Lead electromagnetic environmental effects compliance of the aircraft systems, supporting certification processes, providing design and testing expertise. Review certification requirements, derive company-specific requirements, develop verification plans, and prepare and maintain the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Certification Plan. Provide expertise on airframe shielding and cable routing, and support the design of direct effects mitigation measures with attention to detail and proactive planning. Specify requirements according to the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics standards, including High-Intensity Radiated Fields test levels and direct effects test requirements. Review and support test plans and reports, conduct aircraft electromagnetic compatibility testing, and perform integrated system tests for High-Intensity Radiated Fields and lightning. Develop High-Intensity Radiated Fields and Lightning Certification Plans, perform data analysis, and prepare certification reports. Support Advanced Testing Laboratory verification tests and assess Portable Electronic Device tolerance. Ready to take FLYTE?
