Role: Team Leader Residential Salary: Up to £30,700 per annum, depending on qualification and experience PLUS £700 for a 1 in 4 weekly on call allowance. (£31,400 per annum) Location: High Wycombe. About the role: The Vines is situated in High Wycombe, just minutes off the M40, 20 minutes off the M25 and well served by the local public transport network. In this warm and welcoming house, we provide residential short breaks that support children and young people with learning disabilities aged 11 to 19 who have complex behavioural needs. We are looking for a Team Leader to manage and lead a team of residential professionals and other staff as directed in the delivery of a 24-hour rota (including management of shifts). You will be passionate, committed, and resilient, we will be honest, the role can at sometimes be emotionally and physically challenging but it's also fun and diverse. You will help our Young People by: Building positive relationships by providing emotional support to young people, with challenging emotional and social difficulties. Taking the lead with case/care planning management. Carrying out regular reviews of young people's care notes of support. Supervising, supporting, and training the staff team/volunteers. Personal care, administration of medication and clinical procedures. Supporting all aspects of the children's care, health and wellbeing. Going to EHC meetings also reviews, safeguarding conferences and court work. Deputising in the managers absence. Let's talk about your skills and what we need: A minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce Social Care Pathway/Residential Care or equivalent. Previous experience in a supervisory/ management role. Experience in managing and prioritising work. A commitment to going that extra mile. Experience of working with children with challenging behavioural, emotional and complex needs. An excellent understanding of safeguarding.
