Your new role
Working within the finance team, you will be supporting a broad range of tasks including purchase ledger, treasury, month end and financial reporting. Your main duties will include:
1. Supporting the daily purchase ledger processing,
2. Providing reports for the management team,
3. Bank reconciliation and payment runs,
4. VAT and expense analysis,
5. Intercompany reconciliation,
6. Assisting with month-end.
7. Tracking actual versus budgets,
8. Budgetary control through to year-end audit assistance.
What you'll need to succeed
You have already started your accountancy career with a proven track record in an accounting position demonstrating experience in daily transactions and reconciliation work over the last 1-2 years. With strong Excel skills, you will be detail-oriented and able to multitask as well as work with complex procedures. Strong communication skills will be essential when liaising with stakeholders and external contacts. You will also be able to work independently as well as within a team. It is likely that you will have started your accountancy qualifications (AAT/CIMA/ACCA) and be looking to progress your skill set.
