Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) in Uncertainty Quantification for Foundation Models Location: University of Sheffield with the possibility of attending RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project, Japan. The University of Sheffield and RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (Japan) are seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) to contribute to a UK-Japan collaborative project focused on developing scalable and interpretable methods for uncertainty quantification (UQ) in foundation models. This research addresses key challenges in trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI), with applications across text and multimodal domains.
The successful candidate will be hosted at the University of Sheffield, and there may be an exciting opportunity to spend some time of the project at RIKEN in Japan. You will be jointly supervised by Dr. Nafise Sadat Moosavi, Dr. Benjamin Heinzerling, and Prof. Kentaro Inui, working across two leading research institutions and contributing to world-class advancements in AI.
