This is a great opportunity for a qualified Health Care Assistant to join our friendlyclinical team in looking after our practice population of approx. 7900 patients.
Competitive rates of pay commensurate with experience.
The position is offered initially on a 9 month contract to covera period of adoption leave.

You will be responsible for providing a range of high quality clinical services to our registered list of patients.

We are a dedicated team providing high quality general medical services to our growing patient population. Our clinical team of 12, which is lead by our 3 GP partners, is supported by our reception/dispensary/administrative and management teams.

Job responsibilities
Clinical Duties
1. Phlebotomy
2. New patient registration checks
3. Routine BP
4. 24 hour BP
5. Spirometry
6. ECG
7. Doppler (assisting practice nurse)
8. Weight checks (patients on weight reducing diets only)
9. Urinalysis
10. Simple dressings
11. Nail clippings
12. Hearing tests
13. Verruca treatment (follow up once already initiated by nurse)
14. Involvement in research studies as required
Administrative and Housekeeping Duties
15. Maintain accurate patient records and results books
16. Prepare samples for collection
17. Stock ordering to include blood bottles, gloves, dressings and other prep and treatment room supplies
18. Ensure all consulting and treatment rooms are kept adequately stocked (specimen containers, path lab forms, prescription and A4 paper, etc)
19. Prepare and download 24hour BP and ECG data
20. Maintain a clean and tidy prep room
21. Assist in collection and appropriate disposal of clinical waste
